What are user profiles?

Mopapp implements the multi-profile feature in a way very similar to what Google itself did with all its services.

It works this way: the owner/admin of a Mopapp account wants to share the reports of some apps with somebody, and to do so it goes to My Account => Users => Add User. He fills the form with the email of the destination user, and selects all the apps he wants to share.

The destination user receives an email saying that he is invited to look at the reports of some apps on Mopapp. If the destination user does not own a Mopapp account yet, he clicks the link in the mail and creates one by simply providing his username and password; then he has immediately access to the shared reports.

If the destination user already had a Mopapp account, he is simply notified that he has now access to an additional profile: if he logs into Mopapp he will by default see his normal control panel and reports, as always. However he can now click on his username on the menu bar, and switch to the profile created to share other reports with him. Look at the screenshot below to better understand:

In both cases, the destination user own a normal Mopapp account (so he can register and track his own apps), plus one or more profiles created by someone else to share with him reports of other apps.
The only thing that changes is that in the first case the external company's profile is the destination user's Default Profile. In the second case, the shared profile is not the Default Profile because the destination user already had an account on Mopapp.
